#KIMYE

Friday 30 May 2014

In case you've been living under a rock for the past week you would know that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally married in one of the most elaborate events of the year so far.
Its been named the wedding of the year and with an estimated total cost of $6million. Its not surprising that the world has been fixed on the #KIMYE wedding.

The wedding took place at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence on May 24th in front of the couples closest family and friends. Then 3 days later we where able to see official photos from the spectacular event! The couple exchanged their vows in front of two beautiful walls of flowers. Which I absolutely LOVE!(take note future husband!) It looks so chic and classic and can already see future brides saying to their florists "I WANT THE KIMYE FLOWER BACKDROP!" Kim also posted a picture on her instagram of a wall of flowers very similar to this which she received from Kanye for Mothers day. Maybe giving us a taste of what's to come..
Now what everyone was waiting to see THE DRESS! When I first saw the pictures of the Givenchy creation I loved it, instantly fell in love with the detail and thought it looked perfect on her. However when I saw a picture of the front I wasnt that impressed, Sorry Kim! I personally didn't like the dress coming to a point and then leaving a space for a 'belt' and then going out again. However saying this I dont know what it would have looked like if the front was completely white. Either way she looked so beautiful!
Even though we haven't seen many pictures of the reception I love that the couple decided to have a photobooth at the wedding. I always think these are a great idea to have at any event and allow guests to just let loose and have a fun. Although how on earth do they all look so flawless in their pictures!! I need the number of that photobooth company!

Ive included a couple of my favourite pictures of the wedding.

What did you love about the KIMYE wedding!?

 Enjoy!

Welcome to Something Blogged!

My first post as a fully fledged Wedding and event blogger...WOO!
I've been trying to start a wedding blog for a while now but never got round to actually typing a post. So when it had been mentioned to me by my course tutor that we should all either have our own industry blog or at least reading a lot of blogs I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.

This blog will be focusing on Wedding and Event planning tips and ideas and also event design. I love this industry and hope for one day in the near future to own my own wedding and event planning business. I have trained, gained experience, worked and studied for this industry therefore why not share what I love!

I hope you enjoy Something Blogged and hope that some of my ideas can inspire your wedding or event planning.

Enjoy!
